Position Description & Details:
Create designs that effectively communicate a given message and reflect an image appropriate to NDSU. Responsible for concept development, layout, design and production of university publications and related promotional materials, as well as university online communication; preparation of specifications for bidding, working with commercial printers for cost and quality control; or technical preparation of design for optimum online efficiency and effectiveness; contributes to creative team to reach important constituencies including prospective and current students, alumni, donors, legislators and other opinion leaders.
- Design university publications and digital graphics
- Produce university publications or digital graphics and work with others on staff to meet deadlines
- Work with representatives of commercial printing companies
Commensurate with experience.
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related area with 1-3 years of recent, relevant work experience OR 2-year graphic design degree with 7+ years of recent, relevant work experience
- Demonstrated design ability
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software on a Mac platform
- Demonstrated ability to work with creative team
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- 3+ years of recent, relevant work experience
- Experience with web design
