Recognizing Excellence in Advertising
The American Advertising Awards is one of the industry’s largest creative competitions, attracting nearly 35,000 professional and student entries each year through local club competitions. AAF-ND’s American Advertising Awards recognizing and rewards creative excellence in advertising from North Dakota and Northwester Minnesota.

Submission Details
Online Submissions
Entries for this competition are submitted online. Physical submissions are not required and judging is done virtually.
Competition Timeline
- Mid-to-Late October: Call for entries begins - Specific date TBD
- Early January 2026: Deadline for entries
- Late January 2026: Judging takes place
- Early February: Winners will be notified
- February 27, 2026: AAF-ND American Advertising Awards Show
Rules + Categories
2026 competition rules + categories* have not yet been released. However, last year’s rules + categories (linked below) are a helpful resource to begin preparing for this year’s competition.

Submission Costs
PROFESSIONAL COMPETITION
Member Pricing:
Single Entries – $75/entry
Campaign Entries – $100/entry
Non-Member Pricing:
Single Entries – $110/entry
Campaign Entries – $140/entry
STUDENT COMPETITION
All Entries (Single & Campaign) – $40/entry
Early Bird Discounts & Late Fees
Discounts will be offered for a short period of time after entries open. Late fees will be applied to entries received a week following the deadline.
